OxyRub Pain Relief Cream Review

Hey everyone, I was sent a free tube of Oxyrub in exchange to give an honest review on the product and I wanted to share that with you today.

As a lot of you probably don't know (besides some of my close friends that follow me) I suffered a pretty bad back injury a few years ago. I have nerve damage that affects a lot of things but I also suffer from on and off pain due to a fracture that healed really poorly. I spent a lot of time going through physical therapy and also working a bunch on my own to build up my core strength to alleviate some of the weakness and pain however my back doesn't function like it use to and I typically get sore areas for compensating with a given side.
Having a pre-medical degree has made me very aware of what happens to our body long term using pain reliever pills and it's not something I'm comfortable with so for my pain I typically use good old fashioned heating and cooling. When I'm having a really hard time I use a topical pain reliever because I am more comfortable with them and they work relatively quickly. I've tried a lot of brands over the last few years so I'm pretty good at telling when a product works.

Here is a picture of the tube that OxyRub comes in, pretty standard and informative. The application with this product is a squeeze tube that you rub on with your hands ( I prefer this over sponges because there is just no way to clean a sponge applicator when it is attached to the bottle). Once on it feels pretty cool right away which helps to easy the inflammation, it absorbs pretty quickly like a regular lotion and it took about 10 minutes to really numb the pain I was having. The effect last for about 3 1/2 - 4 hours so it gave me enough time to relax and get to sleep. The smell is pretty typical but it went away after about 20 minutes so it didn't bother me too much.
What made me curious to try OxyRub is that they use essential oils in the cream, I wasn't sure how much that would change the formula so I figured I would give it a try. The main ingredient in this is bitter orange oil, from what I could dig up about bitter orange oil is that it is used to treat inflammation and when inhaled can also be a potential pain reliever. Another essential oil is eucalyptus oil which when diluted may help to easy inflammation and pain. I really appreciate that there are some ingredients that I recognize in this instead of a huge list of chemical names, I like knowing that what I'm putting on my skin is okay for me and not made in a test tube.

Overall I thought OxyRub worked out great and I enjoyed trying it out, it helped ease my pain and kept its effect for a decent amount of time before I had to reapply. I would suggest this to people who suffer from chronic muscle ache or joint pain where they can use a more natural product rather than relying on pills. This is also advertised as being ideal for people with arthritis so if you know someone and they are looking for an option, I have a discount for all of my readers who would like to try this out. It is for 20% off and good until 12/31/15
